I can not even comprehend that it has been nearly three months since I moved to Japan. Oh, how time flies. Summer in Japan is called 夏 (nat-su), and it consists of the peculiar sound of cicadas, the magic of matsuri’, and conquering the sticky, humid heat with friends at the ocean.
Japan seems to carry a magic that one can’t comprehend unless it is experienced. It really jolts your senses to your surroundings, rather than the device in your head or getting lost in your thoughts. The regal palaces and shrines that surprise you at the corner of a commercial street, with history too old to even picture. And the gardens..I absolutely love the gardens. So intricately detailed and maintained, and I wish I captured it all on my camera. But I’m too busy experiencing for the thought to even cross my mind.
I do hope you enjoy the bits that I did capture on film, and my instagram is becoming a hub for my adventure photos. So if you are curious about this magical land, you can head over to my instagram @oliviaaimes and of course my youtube. I will be posting every saturdays.
